Age: Two Years
Species: Red Fox
Appearance: Lux is above average on a physical scale, shooting a centimeter or two over the normal. Rather than having exceptional mass, he is lanky and rather stringy. He has long, spider legs and exceeds at endurance and speed rather than strength. His lungs are wide, allowing him large breaths so he can travel long distances in record time.
He is a cross-pelted mutation of a red fox, so his fur is marbled with varying shades of red and black. Even though it has a unique pattern, his fur is course and wiry when observed from close up. He has a few noticeable scars wear small patches of fur did not grow back. They mostly appear on his legs and muzzle, but there are some freckled on his back.
His eyes are a striking orange and covey his emotions very well. If he can soften his fur with a good tongue wash and cover up his mismatched scars, he can be quite an attractive vulpine.
The Heart
Personality:Lux is not the most good-natured soul in the land and is often described as selfish and egotistical. To make matters worse, he is also manipulative and sly. Basically, he’s your classic storybook fox: crafty and vicious. He is also a great example one of nature’s greatest policies: survival. Lux will do anything in his power to stay alive. Anything that would potentially harm his life in any way, shape, or form, is immediately eradicated from his perimeter. Unfortunately for this kid, his narcissism sometimes gets in the way of this goal.
Fighting and fleeing are equally common for this fox, but when it comes to his fellow vulpine, he would rather fight or manipulate his way into there mind or get others to do it for him. He also likes to be in charge, because that gives him a better chance to live.
Lux is not purposefully cruel when his is; it’s just a side effect of a self-centered view of the world. Sometimes he's even conveyed as emotionless. He will make friends only when he sees them as a benefit to himself (he prefers to call them allies) and is hostile to anyone who does not agree with or share his views. Even so, he is not pugnacious and often will not start a fight (but that doesn’t mean he won’t step up when pushed).
Virtues and Skills:
- Endurance and Speed: Thanks to his long legs and large lungs (hehe, alliteration), Lux can easily outpace most opponents and chooses this as his greatest fighting technique.
- Manipulative: He knows how to worm his way into fox’s heads and plant ideas. He can easily seem like the perfect leader.
- Instinct: This is his goal, and nothing will keep him from it.
- Caution: Usually, Lux is not rash and will think out and plan before executing action.
Faults and Weaknesses:
- Narcissistic: He ONLY thinks about himself. This is his most overwhelming quality and sometimes he will think too highly of himself and get into unwanted danger.
- Unattached: This goes hand in hand with the latter. He does not like to rely on others and rarely seeks help.
- Where’s the Beef? Even for a large body, Lux hardly has the muscle to take on a well-seasoned opponent head on. He has to rely on his unfailing endurance to make it through a match, and hope he doesn’t get squished.
- Temper. Temper. His large ego is easily hurt (which also relates to his narcissism) and from there, he makes his largest mistakes.
The Bygones
Brief Bio: Lux was around when the Illness swept through, taking away all of his siblings and his loving father very early on in his life. Just as the Illness was dissipating, his mother caught the very last of its wrath and was struggling to hold on to life. She did all that she could for her only son and her last words were, “Just stay alive. Just stay alive for Mom. Alright, son?” When both his mother and the Illness passed, Lux has been searching for the remaining foxes in the land of Navaria. Also, his old childhood enemy was Marco, after a failed attempt at friendship (all thanks to the disease).
