For once, Skye was happily tottering along with the wind brushing over his patchy fur. Today was hopefully going to be a good day, an interesting day. Clamped firmly in the 2 year olds jaws was a ruby. It was about the size of his paw and could fit if he kept his mouth just a little bit open. That tantalizing aroma of blackberries wafted down from the ridge and he began to salivate excitedly. It coated the ruby which then slipped out of relaxed jaws. Eyes flicking down, he inhaled sharply as it hit the dirt with a dull thud, luckily it was way too strong to break.
Sighing, he nuzzled the stone once before looking back up at those plump blackberries just singing out to him. In his head, the voice began to talk "Skye just go up and take them. Do it." Even though there was no need to have fear, his pelt bristled instantaneously. The threat of the voice was a constant cloud over his head and even with simple things like that he feared. Always fearing. Never really getting enough sleep.
However, this time the voice proved a valid point and he would go up on to the ridge, even if to snatch up a few measly rotten ones. Before he left, he dug at the moss on the side of the rock which fell and landed covering the ruby loosely in its green embrace. Once done with that, he began to leap up the rocks, getting ever so closer to the luscious black berries.

A figure slept in a curled form from underneath a sweet smelling black-berry bush. It was a wonderful spot to sleep the day away yet it was also far from a perfect rest. Already now, the vixen who slept had been awakened several times by hungry herbavores and even some omnivores who had come to nibble on the bush she slept beneath. Even now again the sound of a thud had stirred her instincts to awaken her consious. Yet when she tried to ignore the sounds it was an attempt that would end in complete failure.
She heard the pawsteps come closer but that was not what aroused her. No, it was the scent the sound carried. A familiar scent yet unfamiliar. The smell of a fox had registered itself through her nostrils and the vixen opened one eye reluctantly to see if this information was indeed true. Her tail shifted ever so slightly for eyes to see. Oh it was so insanely bright to her eyes. The light burned against her shadow-adjusted pupils. How early in the day was it still? Most likely still too early if the light shone this bright. Aysel was tempted to just fall back to sleep but unfortunately her instincts wouldn't allow it. So she just stared into the light until her eyes finally adjusted to see a shape approach. It was a small thing it was.
Your very loud... The vixen said sleepily, not caring about making her presense known. She wasn't exactly in the most cautious mood at the moment. Fact was she was just too tired to care whether she just gave herself away at a bad moment or not.
