Vitals
Full Name: Faye Lyra
Gender: Vixen
Age: Two years
Species: Arctic fox
Appearance: Faye is a small fox with a plush winter coat that is all white except for a faint dusting of blue-grey across her back and tail. In the summer, her fur is shorter and becomes chocolate-brown on her shoulders, back, and flanks, with honey cream on her sides and ivory underparts. She has hazel eyes, and no scars.
The Heart
Personality: Faye is a sweetheart. She tends to trust just about everyone and usually puts others’ needs before her own. In tense situations, she will flee instead of fight almost every time. When surrounded by friends, she tends to be more brave, but if she is under a lot of pressure, she will usually break down and cry.
Virtues and Skills: Loyalty and a sense of duty are among Faye’s greatest virtues, along with making friends and cheering others up. She can pull off a rather persuasive puppydog face. Her most immediately useful ability is hiding caches of food and recalling their locations.
Faults and Weaknesses: Faye is a rather delicate character. She has the potential to hurt herself because she is willing to put herself in danger if her friends convince her. She lacks negotiation skills, and is far from the fastest fox around.
The Bygones
Brief Bio: Faye’s story isn’t all that unique. She was born to a mother and a father who both loved her very much. Of a litter of six, she was the only female. Her parents raised them until they were about ten months old, when her mother was killed by a polar bear while scavenging. Because her mother was no longer around to produce and raise more offspring in later years, Faye found no purpose in staying with her remaining parent. Her heartbroken father encouraged her and all of her brothers to go explore the world and start a life of her own, so she did. She has been wandering unhappily ever since, until she finally stumbled upon Navaria. *Note: She is a vagrant for now, but I plan to have Faye join a clan.
Family Relations: Mother – dead. Father and five brothers – locations unknown.
Roleplay Sample
Tiny ripples radiated out into infinity as a velvety black nose disturbed the grey pond's surface. The little arctic fox took a few cautious laps of water, then lifted her head to see her reflection. Dark, shining eyes peered back at her. Her brown summer coat contrasted well with the backdrop of swirling mist. When she was satisfied that her fur lay flat and neat, she looked out upon the lake before her. Any line of division between sky and land seemed obscured by the fog, and up and down, left and right ceased to exist. Faye felt that she could just pad forward and ascend right up to heaven.
Of course, her wide, snowshoe-like paws were still bound to the earth. Silently and swiftly, she turned on her heels and trotted back into the dark forest from which she had emerged. It was almost funny, she thought, how the mist made the world around her much more calm, but still somehow ominous. As she continued her wandering, she found herself waiting for the sun to burn off the fog. Then she will be able to see everything that's going on around her, and hopefully she will also figure out what she had been looking for. For over a year she had been wandering, and yet, she still didn't know where she was going.
