varmek hollow Set below vaulting treetops, the den of the Delmares Clan lies in an ancient, dried riverhead. The hill that rears above the den site was once an old mountain, worn by time into a butte. Boulders that tumbled down during long gone earthquakes form protective overhangs of stone that offer refuge to the Delmares foxes. |

oak wreath The monolithic hill above the main camp of Delmares, is known fondly to the clan as Oak Wreath. Following its namesake, the crest of the hill is crowned by a grove of mature oaks. Reliable and well-attuned to the seasons, one glance at the elaves tell the season. The trees drop an abundance of acorns, luring small creatures for foxes to hunt. |

wetland plain Following the parched riverbed, one will notice that the ground grows wet underfoot and the trees open up. For perhaps a half-mile around, the ground is covered by an expanse of marsh. Swans have been found to patrol these waters, as have egrets and turtles, which make for good egg hunting. Shallow-water fish also dart about in the reeds, making a good snack if a fox is quick enough to catch them. |

crows carriage ravine A jagged, steeply-walled ravine marks out the border to the Avantegarde territory, cutting along the land like a scar for a few miles. In some parts it tapers and becomes a shallow brook, and in others it is dry, treacherous, and rocky. Crows, rooks, and ravens often nest along the walls on old fallen branches, giving it its namesake. |

ancient citadel The rearing silhoutte of an ancient citadel perched regally atop a sparsely wooded hill is an ominous sight to most passerbys, even to those of the less experienced Avantegarde foxes. However they have come to honor, even celebrate these mysterious ruins. They deem it their right and inheritance, and claim it as a site of spirituality, rite, and ritual. |

eastern brook A small, broad, burbling brook winds its way through the thin woods of Avantegarde land, a water source to many of the creatures living around it. During the summer it offers cool relief to hot paws and parched tongues. |

blackberry ridge Rising slightly above the surrounding grassy, lush landscape, banking as it goes, a ridge creates a spine to the land. During the warmer seasons, it is bursting with tangled, winding vines of blackberries, the air pervaded by their fragrance. These sweet treats can prove irresistable to passing foxes, and especially to young fox kits who can't resist leaping up and taking a snap at the juicy, plump berries from the vines. |

ellesmere stones - 1 Viewing The origins of the Ellesmere Stones are a mystery. Were they created by the crafting hands of man, or carved by nature? Their history stretches farther back than the memory of any vulpine, and so their story is shrouded in mist. Each stone is a great, round, smooth-faced boulder, rearing several feel from the ground, forming a ring. |

navar river Curving like a blue ribbon, the Navar River cuts along through swaths of woodland some distance from the Ellesmeer Stones. During the evening, many a fox passing along the river have paused to glance up at the darkening silhouette of the archaic stones in the distance. The river is fairly peaceful, often with willows arching over to dangle their long branches in the flow of water. |

woodland outcrop Towards the southwest, the hills slope up into a gently-rising outcrop. Handsome and fertile, a vast woodland climbs and crawls along the outcrop like a rippling quilt of green and brown. Within, it offers refuge to those within its reaches, however one must be wary of the dropoff of the outcrop itself. |
